As Members of the St. Edmund Prep Community, we believe that:

Our faith, and the Catholic identity of our school, is at the core of everything we do.
Each teacher is a role model called upon to teach as Jesus did.
Providing opportunities to deepen our Catholic faith is essential for today's youth to develop a strong sense of self.
By providing students with a faith-based value system, they will be able to develop a strong moral compass.
A family atmosphere provides a safe and respectful environment where students of diverse backgrounds are welcome.
Providing a consistent atmosphere of direction and discipline will foster academic excellence.
All students can achieve academic success.
Success is achieved by striving to attain more than the minimum.
Each student be educated according to his or her individual needs.

Each student be taught to become a critical thinker, a problem solver, and a decision maker.
Effective teachers are dedicated to their vocation, passionate about their subject, and show genuine care and concern for others.
An effective extracurricular program complements the school's academic course of study.
Providing students an outlet to enhance their creative, technical, and athletic abilities further develops their social skills.
All learn to respect the variety of cultures and attitudes that make for the richness of life.
The responsibility to educate is shared among the faculty, administration, parents, and community.
Education develops lifelong ethical responsibilities.
Not all learning takes place in the classroom, not all teaching is done by the faculty, and not all learning is done by the students.

Every individual is a vital part of the community and has a responsibility to give back to that community.
