College Courses

St. Edmund Preparatory High School is an approved member of the St. John’s University College Advantage Program. This program offers juniors and seniors a unique opportunity to take college level classes, approved by St. John’s University, at St. Edmund Prep. St. John’s University along with 78 other colleges and universities accept St. John’s College Advantage Program credits. This benefits high-achieving students to be further motivated and to get a “headstart” on college and also provides reduced tuition costs to students and parents, and serves as an assessment of a student’s ability to do college level work.
Each SEP teacher instructing a college class has been approved by St. John's along with the course curriculum.
In order to participate in the program students must have a PSAT or SAT score of 1000 total in reading and math and a school average of 85 or higher. After successful completion of the course with a C+, the student will receive St. John’s college credit for the course. The 2010-2011 fee to take part in the program is $250 per St. John’s University course.
