Physical Education
Freshman learn about the importance of physical fitness. The course introduces students to volleyball, square and line dancing, and develops general social attitudes.
As Sophomores, the students are introduced to basketball, soccer, track and field. The students will develop such skills as speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, balance, strength and coordination. They learn the importance of teamwork, cooperation and sportsmanship on an individual and group basis.
During their Junior year, the students have an opportunity to choose courses they would like. They can take courses in CPR, weight training, skiing or sports officiating as well as the standard Junior level Physical Education class which includes Speedball, Aerobics and Badminton.
In Senior year, students may choose three or four areas that they would like to cover. Responsibility, individuality and independence are stressed.
