Guidance Office

St. Edmund Preparatory High School offers full-time guidance services, open to all students and parents. The Guidance department meets with all students early in the academic year in both individual and group settings to discuss academic responsibilities and the many services which guidance provides. Additional counseling sessions are held throughout the year to monitor student's progress, both academically and personally. The purpose of the guidance program is to be of assistance to the students, families and teachers and to assist in making the educational process as effective as possible.


Secondary counseling services include academic counseling, personal counseling, referrals, and coordination with agencies and professionals out side the school setting, school testing program and career exploration.

New York State Graduation Requirements

Although New York State Department of Education has established a minimum passing grade for local credit at fifty-five (55), St. Edmund Prep requires a minimum passing grade at sixty-five (65) or above. Regents diploma requirements – sixty-five (65) or above on the following five Regent Exams:

 

Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation Requirements

You must receive a sixty-five (65) or better on each of the following exams.
