Playing at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point, Will shot a 74, eagling on 17 to win by two strokes. The tournament featured the top 72 golfers from the CHSAA, PSAL, and Independent School League. Will has been a four year member of the varsity golf team in addition to serving on the Emmaus Retreat Team, as a Student Ambassador, and a Freshman Mentor.
This year, golf was added to the NYC Mayor’s Cup Championship series, bringing the total number of sporting events to 11, Golf joins baseball, basketball, chess, cricket, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, softball, track & field, and wrestling in the Mayor’s Cup series. The Mayor’s Cup annually brings together the NYC’s best Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL), Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) and the New York Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) to compete for the title of “Best in the City.”
