The Prep Goes Pink for Dig Pink Campaign

As a community at St. Edmund Prep we are becoming better educated about this disease and we decided to raise funds to help find a cure. Funds raised for the Side-Out Foundation go toward a clinical trial specifically for patients with stage IV breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease and the least funded area of research.

During the month of October St. Edmund hosted many opportunities for our community to participate in the Dig Pink Campaign. The volleyball teams sold pink wristbands, limited edition SEP Volleyball "Dig Pink" T-shirts during lunch periods. The Eagles hosted St. John's Prep in our second annual Dig Pink Game on Thursday, October 19th. To round the month, SEP sponsored a pink dress down for all students who made a $5 donation to the campaign. The students challenged the faculty in a charity volleyball game on Friday October 27th.  We are proud to share that this year's Dig Pink campaign raised $4,500! All proceeds raised from these events will be donated to the Side Out Foundation.

If you were unable to participate in our events and would like to support the cause, you can make a direct donation to the campaign via the Side Out Foundation Website.

We are so proud of our students who spearheaded the Dig Pink campaign! Special thank you to the members of the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams and our Dig Pink Ambassador Stephanie Cacace '18.

Thank you to The Tablet who covered our Dig Pink efforts in their October 27th edition
