The Interact Club of St. Edmund Prep has once again signed on as Team Edmund as part of the Street Corner Gourmet! We will help prepare 250+ pounds of "Stuffing From Heaven" and bake cookies that will be part of a Thanksgiving Feast to be brought to 125th Street & Morningside Drive in Harlem, NYC.
The preparation will take place on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday November 26th in the School Cafeteria beginning at 12:30 pm. Volunteers are needed to help chop bread, apples, nuts, celery, onions, herbs, bake cookies, and cook stuffing. There are plenty of jobs for everyone!
We are also need donations of new or gently used and laundered blankets. The blankets, on Thanksgiving Morning will be used to wrap the food as it makes its journey to Harlem after being passed through the ovens. After the food is distributed, the blankets will be distributed to those who need them most.
If you have any questions please contact Deacon Ron Rizzuto using the email link at the bottom right of this news article. The Interact Club looks forward to seeing you on November 26th for the Street Corner Gourmet! |
