College Counseling
At St. Edmund Preparatory High School, we believe that the journey to higher education is as unique as the student taking it. Our College Counseling Office is dedicated to providing a comprehensive, multi-year support system that empowers students to navigate the transition from high school to their future educational aspirations with confidence and clarity.
Our Holistic Approach
We offer a structured guidance curriculum tailored to each stage of the high school experience:
- Individualized Attention: Through one-on-one "Meet with the College Counselor" sessions, we ensure every student receives personal feedback on their academic progress and college aspirations.
- Grade-Specific Groups: The Junior and Senior Group Guidance classes provide a collaborative environment in which students learn how to identify their best-fit colleges, navigate the college application process, understand financial aid, and explore career options.
- Daily Support: The college counselor is integrated into the school day through a rotating eight-day cycle schedule, ensuring accessibility for all students regardless of their academic workload.
Empowerment through Information
We utilize modern tools and consistent communication to keep families informed. Whether navigating college applications and deadlines or researching scholarships, our office serves as a central hub for:
- College Research & Selection
- Application & Essay Support
- Career & Vocational Exploration
The College Counseling Mission
To provide a supportive bridge between high school and the world beyond, ensuring that every graduate leaves with a clear path toward their educational goals. In alignment with our broader mission, we instill Gospel values in our students, empowering them to become confident, self-disciplined participants in an ever-changing global society.
