So much of what we've been doing over the past ninety years is responding to how Society has changed how the needs of learning have changed. We adapted, we evolved and we met the needs of the students who were sitting in front of us. We have a whole generation of students who were born in the digital age who are tech-savvy and just want to continue learning more about that, whether it's through coding, whether it's through designing on a 3D printer, whether it's through experimenting and building Robotics and machines and we're going to once again we're going to break the walls down and make it into a completely collaborative space that we've dubbed the most Makerspace. Students are going to be able to take what they once did in a traditional way, still use their creativity, still use their technical skills but do it in a way that's Innovative and that's the new. We are giving students not only the tools, but the way the skills to be able to put it all together. It's going to be open space, they're keeping the windows on one side but then they're also opening up the opposite side so where there was once a wall with windows are now putting glass doors. There's going to be three 3D printers, a new laser cutting station, a soldering station with a hood,  various tables and a robotics field and then little maker areas where students can just kind of tinker with different supplies. Students are actually going to physically be able to sit on one side of the room and look across the other side of the room and see me teaching a physics lesson or even if they're not in my class there's still going to be involved in some way. Students are seeing the learning, and the making, and the creativity. You're going have students say I can do that, or I did I can do better, or I have an idea and they're going to jump in. That's really going to allow students to become way more Hands-On than they are right now. It gives students access to more advanced tools and Technologies. It gives students more opportunities to actually do things and become interested through pulling things apart and seeing how they work and putting them back together. We can be free to create and innovate and take these all these ideas we learned and make something. A great class is what we're going to be doing with this Makerspace right, where the students are getting a little chaotic, where they are getting a little wild, where they are messing around with things, where they are making mistakes. The students who are in front of us right now who are going to be able to take advantage of the Innovation Center they're going to come back. They're going to be the next leaders of Catholic Education.  This maker Space is really saying we're ready for the future we want to make that next important step to make or that we're giving our students the best education possible, that we're preparing them not just for college but for life, and we think that we're going to create an atmosphere that students can go to and collaborate, and create. and work, and make, and come out better for themselves but also saying that St. Edmund is ready for the future.
