St. Edmund Preparatory High School is an approved member of the St. John’s University College Advantage Program. This program offers juniors and seniors a unique opportunity to take college level classes, approved by St. John’s University, at St. Edmund Prep. St. John’s University along with 100 other colleges and universities accept St. John’s College Advantage Program credits. This benefits high-achieving students to be further motivated and to get a “head start” on college and also provides reduced tuition costs to students and parents, and serves as an assessment of a student’s ability to do college level work.
 
Each SEP teacher instructing a college class has been approved by St. John's along with the course curriculum.

In order to participate in the program students must meet the following requirements:
Juniors: Minimum 85 Average in the five major subjects (English, math, social studies, languages, and science) with combined Math and Critical Reading minimum PSAT of 1080 - OR - Minimum 90 Average in the five subject without standardized test scores.
 
Seniors:  Minimum 80 Average in the five major subjects (English, math, social studies, languages, and science) with combined Math and Critical Reading minimum SAT of 1080 (or 1080 PSAT) - OR - Minimum 85 Average in the five subject without standardized test scores.
 
After successful completion of the course with a C+, the student will receive St. John’s college credit for the course. The 2021-2022 fee to take part in the program is $325 per St. John’s University course.
