Dress Code
The St. Edmund Preparatory High School dress code marks St. Edmund Prep as a place of dignity and seriousness of purpose. A school uniform signifies that school is a special place in which special kinds of behavior are required. In our quest to educate ourselves we are all considered the same, individuals who are committed to excellence.
Only the school uniform pants, skirts, shirts and blouses, purchased from the uniform company may be worn. Students should have extra uniform materials in case of accidents. Notes will not be accepted for students out of uniform, unless there is an extreme extenuating circumstance.
The SEP uniform is to be worn properly at all times. Students are expected to enter the building in the morning and exit in the afternoon in full uniform. Students whose last class is physical education may leave at dismissal in their SEP PE uniform. Any other exception to this policy must be approved by the Dean of Students or the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs.
Students who arrive at school at any time during the school year not in the proper dress code will be sent home after a parent is called, until the problem is corrected. If a parent is unreachable the student will remain in the general office.
Formal Uniform (Permitted year round):
- Lands' End school uniform short or long sleeve white oxford shirt
- Lands' End school uniform box pleat skirt - khaki or gray
- Skirts are to be worn with opaque tights or white ankle socks
- Lands' End school uniform plain front blend chino pant - khaki
- Lands' End school uniform dress pant - gray
- Lands' End school uniform performance fine gauge cardigan - gray with school crest
- Black dress shoes (oxfords or loafers). Slippers, moccasins and ballerina flats are not permitted.
- Lands' End school uniform short or long sleeve interlock polo with school crest - gray or white
- Same pants/skirt and shoe requirements as above
- Lands' End school uniform short sleeve or long sleeve white oxford shirt
- Lands' End school uniform boys' grey dress pant
- Lands' End school uniform iron knee blend plain front chino - khaki
- Lands' End school uniform performance fine gauge v-neck sweater - gray with school crest
- Neckties must be worn with oxford shirts (bowties are not permitted)
- Black or brown belt
- White or black socks
- Black or brown dress shoes (oxfords or loafers)
Relaxed Uniform Option (Permitted during 1st and 4th Marking Periods):
- Lands' End school uniform short or long sleeve interlock polo with school crest - gray or white
- Same pants and shoe requirements as above
