St. Edmund Preparatory High School offers full-time guidance services, open to all students and parents. The Guidance department meets with all students early in the academic year in both individual and group settings to discuss academic responsibilities and the many services which guidance provides. Additional counseling sessions are held throughout the year to monitor student's progress, both academically and personally. The purpose of the guidance program is to be of assistance to the students, families and teachers and to assist in making the educational process as effective as possible.
Secondary counseling services include academic counseling, personal counseling, referrals, and coordination with agencies and professionals out side the school setting, school testing program and career exploration.
The College Board
The College Board is a not-for-profit membership association whose mission is to connect students to college success and opportunity. Each year, the College Board serves students and their parents through major programs and services in college readiness, college admission, guidance, assessment, financial aid, enrollment, and teaching and learning. Among its best-known programs are the SAT®, the PSAT/NMSQT® and the Advanced Placement Program® (AP®).
