New School Year Kicked Off in Prayer and Fellowship

Following orientation sessions for the upper grades, The annual Mass of the Holy Spirit was celebrated by Fr. Michael Gribbon, Chaplain. This annual Eucharistic celebration calls down the power of the Holy Spirit to the activities of the new school year and focuses us on our mission to be disciples of Christ in our modern world.
In his homily Director of Campus Ministry, Deacon Andrew Ciccaroni reflected on the parable of the talents and our challenge to use our talents to serve one another and to better our school community during the new school year.

At the conclusion of Mass, we paused to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001 as we marked the 22nd anniversary of that day. Fr. Lukasz Trocha Chairman of the Board Of Trustees and Pastor of St. Edmund Parish led us in prayer. Ms. Allyce Hanley '15 performed a moving rendition of God Bless America accompanied by members of our music program.

Following the Mass, our annual back-to-school BBQ and extracurricular club fair took place. We look forward to all that this new school year will bring to our SEP Family. A special thank you to the members of the Parent Volunteer Committee who made the BBQ possible.
