Latty is the third basketball player in school history to earn an All-American nomination, following Jordan Williams in 2017 and Mike Irwin in 1999. He is a member of the school's 1,000 point-club and is currently leading the Eagles with 22.8 points per game. Shemar was recently named CHSAA Player of the Week and was also selected to the All-Tournament Team at the the Msgr. King Tournament over Christmas break. The four-year varsity letter winner has been a two-time CHSAA All-Star and a three-time Tablet All-League player.
