Meet Renae '22

Name: Renae Yarde '21
Neighborhood: East New York

Activities: Model Congress, Empowering Woman's Club, Student Council, NHS (President), Multicultural Club, Yearbook, Students for Social Justice, Senior Committee, SEP Ambassador, Freshman Mentor

My Favorite Classes: IB Physics and AP Calculus. Mr. Wagner and Mr. Encarnacion are great teachers that make the material both engaging and memorable.

Most Memorable SEP Moment: Being a part of Students for Social Justice. We have grown closer together by discussing real world issues and brainstorming strategies to combat them. This experience has allowed me to see my peers and St. Edmund Prep faculty in a new light, and it is an experience I am forever grateful for.

What does it mean to be an Eagle?: Being an Eagle means to have dedication, drive and to be a contributing member of your community.  It means trying to be the best you can be, always.

What impact has being a student at SEP made on your life?: St. Edmund Prep has given me a sense of home away from home. The friendships and relationships I've made during my time at the prep are ones I know that Ill take with me for life. Being at the prep has taught me a lot about my mental and spiritual help that I've grown to value in order to better myself.
