Spirit Week Shows Purple Pride

Monday, January 29th kicked off spirit week with Twin Day with pairs of students and faculty dressing alike. On Tuesday, January 30th the halls of the Prep were taken over by Color Wars with green, orange, pink, and black clothing and accessories. A spirited trivia tournament was held between representative teams of each grade level that saw the junior class emerge victorious.
Wednesday, January 31st was Eagle spirit day. Purple and white t-shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys and accessories replaced the usual dress code. During each lunch period, a hot chocolate bar complete with all the best toppings was available for all students in observance of National Hot Chocolate Day. Thursday, February 1st was a celebration of the cultural diversity of the Prep with an International Festival. Students dressed representing their heritage and shared food and cultural traditions in an exhibition in the Michael and Lois Koplin Innovation Center.
Spirit Week capped off on Friday, February 2nd with Pajama Day. Comfy and cozy was the mantra for the final day of spirit week as pajamas were the uniform du jour! In a surprise move, Mrs. McGinnis, Ms. McEvoy, and Mr. Wagner hosted an ice cream sundae bar at all lunch periods. Thanks Mrs. McGinnis!
Friday night capped off a great spirit week with a Purple-Out home triple header for the Freshmen, JV, and Varsity Boys Basketball squads against Msgr. McClancy.
Thank you to all who participated in spirit week! Special shout out to the student council who coordinated all of this week's activities.Throughout the week students and staff vied to earn the most points through their participation for their grade level.
