Inspirit AI Scholars - AI and Civic Technology Intensive

Inspirit AI Scholars is a 10-session, 25-hour interdisciplinary exploration of AI across disciplines and domains. Our experienced instructors are students or alumni of Stanford, MIT, and other leading universities. For the first five class periods, students learn the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the programming language Python. Through interactive lectures and hands-on coding exercises, they learn Linear Regression, Classification, Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, and more.

In the second half of the course, students collaborate in small groups to complete an AI project for social good, including safe chatbot engineering, disease diagnosis, pandemic tracking, sustainability improvements, disaster relief, and many more.

Both the projects and the lessons are taught in around a 6-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. The final day, family and friends are invited to watch presentations on final projects from the different teams and do Q&A with our staff on college. We also have workshops throughout the program on AI and Ethics, positioning AI research in college applications, and new advancements and research in AI.

The cost for the program is $1400 including a pre-program python crash course, 25 hours of live instruction, special sessions, extra classes, college and career panels, research spotlights, office hours, and more.
